Dan Altier is a fully licensed psychologist who has been practicing for over 15 years. Prior to joining ORConsulting, Dan was a managing partner of a psychology practice for over 10 years. In addition to his traditional psychology practice, Dan provided consulting services to organizations in the area of leadership development, organizational change and occupational stress. Dan served as a consultant on occupational stress and depression to Metro Detroit’s two largest police departments. He has presented at local, regional and national conferences on occupational stress issues. Dan’s interest in intra and interpersonal dynamics is matched by his interest in business principles. Following the receipt of his doctoral degree in 1992 Dan went on to obtain an MBA in 2002.
Before entering private practice in a full time capacity, Dan worked at the Detroit Medical Center providing individual and program interventions. While there he instructed and supervised doctoral psychology interns and provided medical education on behavioral medicine principles to various medical students from the fields of orthopedic surgery, neurology and anesthesiology. Dan resides in Michigan with his wife, two adolescent children and two dogs. His recreational interests include house projects and aviation.
